To substitute egg to bind ingredients in a recipe, you can use milled/ground flax seeds.
Replace one egg with 1 tablespoon of milled flax seeds (freshly milled is better) with 3 tablespoons of warm water and mix well. Leave to combine for an hour and then use to substitute the egg when making things like stuffing balls or falafel.
Measure out 3 1/2 Tablespoons “flax egg” for each egg needed.
Flax seeds are available to order from Amazon, Superdrug and directly from most health food stores. You will find brands like Linwoods, Wholefood Earth, Buy Wholefoods Online, Planete Natural, and Real Food Source all do flax seed products of this kind.
Flaxseed are known to have a wide range of nutritional and health benefits. Vegans sometimes lack Vitamin B12 and Flax Seeds are a good source.
